"Tessa (Jane Levy) tried to convince her self for a Halloween costume, but it ends up spooking her friends as well anyone in school since she is like reminding them of a recently departed person from Chatswin neighborhood. On the other side, George (Jeremy Sisto) has been fully determined to prove to the Halloween-hater, Dallas (Cheryl Hines), that being scared can be fun but gets a spooky situation for his own when Steven Royce (guest star Jay Mohr), the husband of the woman, came home early as expected from one of his many business trips."

That is when Steven, the husband of the woman she used to share his time came home far from their expectation.
